Meet the Owners

Hey there! We are Derek and Jody–owners of Crooked Willow, a beautiful wedding venue near Alexandria, MN. After years of demanding careers and hectic commutes, we began looking for a more meaningful occupation and a lifestyle that allowed us more time with our two children, Thomas and Tallie. On a trip to our family cabin, we saw the Crooked Willow property for sale. It was an opportunity of a lifetime. Within a few months, we’d tightened our plans and set things in motion. With the help of the Alexandria community and Crooked Willow’s previous owners, Terri and Chris Anderson, our dream became a reality. We are committed to becoming an active and supportive part of the Lakes Area.

  • Golf cart availability for guests needing assistance to get around the property.

  • No hidden fees. (While there are no additional Crooked Willow service fees or taxes, a $500 refundable damage deposit and event insurance policy required.)
