Exciting New Additions to Crooked Willow: An Outdoor Arbor & Wildflower Field
New things happening here at Crooked Willow. We couldn’t be more excited to share these updates with you! As we continue to grow, we’re always looking for ways to enhance the experience for our couples. Additionally, we want to create memorable moments for their guests too.
This season, we added two stunning new features to our property. Both have already become fan favorites. First, we installed a handcrafted outdoor arbor. Second, we planted a breathtaking wildflower field!
A Handcrafted Outdoor Arbor with a Story
First off, let’s talk about our new outdoor arbor. However, this isn’t just any arbor. In fact, it has a beautiful story behind it.
This stunning piece was handmade by Minnesota local Dan Plass. Specifically, he created it for use at his own daughter’s wedding. Can you imagine the love and care that went into it? After all, he was building something special for such a meaningful day.
After the wedding, Dan and his wife made a generous decision. They were incredibly kind to sell it to us. As a result, we feel honored to give it a new home here at Crooked Willow.
The arbor has completely transformed our outdoor ceremony space. Moreover, it adds a romantic focal point that frames couples perfectly. Consequently, our couples absolutely LOVE IT! The craftsmanship is exceptional. Furthermore, it photographs beautifully in every season.
Whether you’re planning a spring garden wedding or a summer celebration, this arbor works perfectly. Similarly, it’s stunning for cozy fall ceremonies. (Photos attached below so you can see it in all its glory!)
Our Wildflower Field: A Dream Come True
Now, let’s talk about our wildflower field. Honestly, we can barely contain our excitement for this addition! This has been a labor of love. In particular, Derek has been incredibly dedicated to this project.
He’s been out there every single day checking on the flowers. Meanwhile, he’s eagerly waiting for them to bloom. His dedication has truly paid off!
The field is strategically located right behind the outdoor ceremony space. Therefore, it creates a stunning natural backdrop that changes with the seasons. Imagine saying “I do” with waves of colorful wildflowers behind you. Picture them swaying gently in the breeze. It’s the kind of romantic, organic beauty that you simply can’t replicate. In other words, no amount of décor can match this natural elegance.
Beyond ceremonies, this wildflower field offers even more possibilities. Specifically, it’s going to be absolutely perfect for golden hour photos. That’s the magical time right before sunset. During this time, the light is soft and warm. As a result, the flowers will glow beautifully. Consequently, you’ll get dreamy, romantic images you’ll treasure forever.
We can already envision the stunning photos our couples will capture here. In addition, we’re imagining all the joyful moments that will unfold in this space.
