How It All Began
Jennica and Camden’s story started at the beginning of their junior year of high school, when Jennica moved from Wisconsin to Long Prairie. Camden remembers thinking, “We had classes together and I thought, there’s finally a 
new girl in this school.” Jennica recalls, “I met a lot of people in my first days at LPGE, but Camden immediately stood out as someone I wanted to get to know!”
Their friendship quickly grew into something more, and years later, Camden planned the perfect proposal at the Garden of Lights in Alexandria. Neither had ever been before, and what started as a casual evening stroll turned into a life-changing moment. After asking a worker to take their photo, Camden got down on one knee and asked Jennica to marry him—surrounded by twinkling lights and winter magic.
The Wedding Vision
When it came time to plan their wedding, Jennica and Camden envisioned a celebration that was classic, intimate, and full of warmth. They wanted a space that could host both their ceremony and reception close to home, surrounded by family and friends.
Crooked Willow Weddings was the first venue that caught their attention. Its elegant barn setting, spacious layout, and on-site accommodations checked every box. The bridal suite and Trapper’s Lodge offered the perfect private retreat for the couple and their wedding party before the festivities began.
Their design vision centered around timeless elegance with a personal touch—soft shades of blue, lush floral arrangements, and a welcoming atmosphere that reflected their personalities. Keeping costs manageable and ensuring every guest felt comfortable were top priorities, but above all, they wanted the day to feel authentically theirs.
Planning wasn’t without its challenges. Differing opinions from family and friends occasionally made decisions tricky, but Jennica and Camden stayed grounded by talking things through together before making final calls. Their teamwork paid off beautifully.
Details & Personal Touches
Jennica’s favorite detail was the florals. She met Ashley Green of Green Thumb, Etc. at a wedding show in St. Cloud and instantly fell in love with her work. The arrangements were everything she dreamed of—romantic, vibrant, and full of life. Jennica is even having her bouquet preserved as a keepsake.
For Camden, the highlight was the private social hour with their wedding party after the ceremony. It was a rare, quiet moment to soak everything in before rejoining the celebration.
Their first dance was to “When You Say Nothing at All” by Keith Whitley, a song that perfectly captured their connection. They exchanged traditional vows, keeping the ceremony heartfelt and timeless.
The Wedding Day Experience
The day unfolded seamlessly, filled with laughter, emotion, and unforgettable moments. One of the most touching surprises came during their social hour when a close friend—who was deployed and unable to attend—joined via FaceTime. His mother found the couple and handed them the phone, allowing him to watch the ceremony live and share in their joy from afar.
The most emotional moment for Jennica was walking down the aisle with her dad, seeing Camden waiting at the end, and realizing that everything they had planned was finally coming to life.
As the night came to a close, their favorite moment was the final song of the reception—a joyful, bittersweet ending to a perfect day, knowing everything had gone beautifully.
Advice for Future Couples
Jennica and Camden’s biggest piece of advice: Do what you want to do. It’s easy to get caught up in others’ opinions, but staying true to personal preferences made their day uniquely theirs. If they could change one thing, it would be carving out more time to visit with guests during the reception.
