Meet Alicia and Justin! The happy couple tied the knot during their magical winter wedding in February of this year. (There is something so timeless about a white wedding!)

Their Story
Justin and Alicia first met back in college where she was a Bennie at the College of St. Benedict and he was a Johnnie at St. Johns University. Alicia was immediately drawn to Justin’s goofy nature and big heart. After getting to know each other as friends for a year, the two decided to start their relationship. That was just the beginning! For the next ten years, the two continued on side-by-side, supporting each other through college graduations and the start of new careers.
In 2020, Justin proposed to Alicia on Christmas morning. He hid the ring box inside her stocking. Alicia quickly said yes, and the couple was telling the happy news to family and friends on New Years Eve! Unfortunately, bad news quickly followed. It wasn’t long into wedding planning that Alicia’s mom was diagnosed with stage four pancreatic cancer. As heart-wrenching as the news was, Alicia’s mom found new hope and excitement in getting to be a part of planning her daughter’s wedding, and even got to walk her daughter down the aisle!
“To have her there, looking so radiant and healthy, was more than I could have ever hoped for. Having both my mom and dad walk me down the aisle was so special.” -Alicia
Their wedding date was set for February 12, 2022, which also happened to be their 10 year dating anniversary! (We don’t know what’s more romantic than that!) The wedding took place at their local church on a beautiful winter afternoon, just days before the Valentine’s holiday. The reception was held here at Crooked Willow.

The Theme
The couple wanted a Valentine’s Day theme that was both timeless and modern. Deep reds, light pinks, and gold accents against a white snowy backdrop- the color palette was romantic and stunning! The bridesmaids were adorned in dusty rose and cabernet dresses and the groomsmen were in classic black suits. Alicia and her bridesmaids also sported elegant shawls and mittens. (They made Minnesota winter look good!)
